Whoopi Goldberg issued an immediate apology after today's episode of TheView for using a variation of a derogatory term towards Romani people.
The View host, known for making controversial statements in the past was discussing former President Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels at the time of the offensive remark.Less than an hour after The View's live broadcast ended, the message was posted to the show's Twitter account.
"You know, when you're a certain age, you use words that you know from when you're a kid or you remember saying, and that's what I did today, and I shouldn't have," she explained in the apology."I should have thought about it a little longer before I said it, but I didn't, and I should have said 'cheated,' and I used another word, and I'm really, really sorry.
