San Francisco’s District 11 supervisor race features one lifelong inhabitant of the area, an immigrant who arrived there as a teenager from China, and a new resident who put down roots in early February while campaigning to win a seat on The City’s Democratic Party committee.
Safai is termed out and running for mayor and has endorsed his former aide. Jones said he supported Prop. B because of concerns from other public safety employees, like firefighters, that too much money could go to the police department at the expense of other services. According to a city redistricting map from 2022, District 11’s population of 82,684 was 56.5% Asian, 21.1%Latino, 15.8% white and 5.3% Black.
