Florida law enforcement officials are searching for the boat that fatally struck a 15-year-old girl waterskiing and left her to die.Miami Beach teen Ella Adler was waterskiing near Nixon Beach in Key Biscayne when she fell in the water while being towed around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission told Newsweek.As Adler waited for her boat to come get her, the teen was struck by another vessel, officials said. She died from her injuries.
Who was Ella Adler?Adler attended Ransom Everglades School, a college prep school in Miami. She was a member of the class of 2027.'The world lost a star this weekend. Ella was beautiful and shined brightly. In her 15 years she gave us more light than we could have ever dreamed,' her parents, Amanda and Matt Adler, said in a statement to ABC News. 'While we cope with this unspeakable tragedy, we hope the public will help us find the person who took her from us.
