The Big Picture X-Men '97 has introduced a number of new characters into the world of X-Men: The Animated Series. Some of those characters are deep cuts from comics canon, particularly the mutant-hating X-Cutioner and Jean Grey's clone Madelyne Pryor. With the latest episodes "Fire Made Flesh" and "Montendo/Lifedeath — Part 1," another new mutant has entered the picture: the mutant inventor known as Forge.
