An assassin was hired to kill Owen and Lester in The Recruit season 2, and they almost did it. The second season of the Netflix action series starring Noah Centineo picked up right where season 1 had left off, with Nichka killing Max in front of Owen. While Nichka was ready to kill Owen too so that there would be no one left to connect her to Max, the cavalry led by Dawn came to the rescue. However, Owen’s safety was not guaranteed, as Dawn had more than enough reasons to kill him on sight.

This is because, during The Recruit season 1, Max told Owen about Dawn’s secret operation to make money with fake CIA operatives.
