Russell and Laura dated briefly after meeting in 2007, as they were introduced to each other by her sister Kirsty.
In 2015, Laura and Russell rekindled their romance after a friend "dragged" Laura out on a walk to a canal in east London after she was left "heartbroken" after a breakup. As they were walking along the footpath they bumped into Russell, and the rest is history.
