Ohio Sen. JD Vance has been reported as one of the finalists for Donald Trump's 2024 running mate in the presidential election.
U.S. Sen. JD Vance of Ohio was named by former President Donald Trump as his vice presidential running mate on Monday. Vance, a 39-year-old venture capitalist and “Hillbilly Elegy” author turned politician, quickly rose in the ranks this past year to the shortlist of picks to be Trump's running mate. Vance recently entered the political scene, beating out former U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan for Ohio 's U.S. Senate seat in 2022.Vance was sworn in in January 2023, becoming the first U.S.
