The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly preparing a massive offer for Connecticut head coach Dan Hurley.
A bombshell report came out on Thursday morning regarding the Los Angeles Lakers' head coaching search.ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the Lakers were preparing a 'massive, long-term offer' to sway Connecticut head coach Dan Hurley to leave the NCAA level and come to the NBA.This comes less than 24 hours after The Athletic's Shams Charania reported JJ Redick was the 'frontrunner' for the L.A. head coaching vacancy.
He then got his first head coaching gig at the collegiate level with Wagner College, where he set the school's single-season win-loss record at 25-6.From Wagner, Hurley went to the University of Rhode Island, where he'd spend six seasons, leading them to the NCAA Tournament in his final two.On March 22, 2018, Hurley was named the head coach at the University of Connecticut. In 2021 and 2022, he led them to the NCAA Tournament.
