NEW DELHI: Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia menyeru tindakan “agresif” melawan koronavirus yang merebak dengan cepat di Asia Tenggara, memberi amaran beberapa negara menuju ke arah jangkitan antara komuniti penyakit yang boleh membawa maut itu.
Terdapat kebimbangan sistem penjagaan kesihatan awma yang lemah di banyak negara Asia Tenggara tidak akan mampu menangani wabak besar- “Lebih banyak kluster jangkitan virus sedang disahkan. Walaupun ini tanda-tanda kewaspadaan dan pengawasan berkesan, ia juga menonjolkan perlunya usaha lebih agresif melibatkan seluruh masyarakat bagi menghalang Covid-19 terus merebak,” katanya.Malaysia mempunyai bilangan jangkitan tertinggi di Asia Tenggara dengan 673 kes, menurut kiraan Universiti Johns Hopkins.
