Everton chairman and West End theatre producer Bill Kenwright had a recurring role in Coronation Street since the 1960s.
Bill Kenwright was known for his West End productions as well as his involvement with Everton Evertoon Football Club chairman and West End theatre producer Bill Kenwright has died aged 78, just a few months after he was diagnosed with liver cancer.
Kenwright appeared as Gordon Clegg, making his Corrie debut in 1968 Gordon struck up a relationship with Lucille Hewitt during his time in Weatherfield, with the pair becoming engaged – although he broke this off shortly before their wedding, instead moving to London to pursue a career in accountancy.
