Sue and Noel Radford are parents to a whopping 22 children, and grandparents to 10 more kids
Sue and Noel Radford, the heads of Britain's largest family, gave viewers a glimpse into their hectic life with the launch of their popular Channel 5 series 22 Kids and Counting in 2021.
With a brood of 22 children and 10 grandchildren and another one on the way the Radfords certainly have a full house. But who exactly are these 22 kids? Sophie, 30 Born in 1993, Sophie was the first Radford daughter. Her name isn’t technically Radford any longer, as Sophie married husband Joseph Broadley, with whom she now shares three kids – Daisy, Ayprill and Leo.Sophie has been candid about her mental health struggles in past episodes of 22 Kids, and explained that becoming a mum herself changed her life.
Chloe shares daughter Mila with her boyfriend Jake Wallace, and originally worked at the Guys N Dolls Boutique, which charges £50 for a makeover and salon blow dry. She attended Lancaster University but dropped out before she obtained her degree. In one 2024 episode of 22 Kids and Counting, Daniel shared his huge plans to emigrate to Australia and leave the family’s native Morecambe behind – but his mum Sue worried over his fear of driving.
His parents immediately accepted him and even turned out to a Pride festival that summer. Luke announced on social media: “At the age of 20 I fully come to terms with who I am. I’m bisexual. That’s me. My core. The part that makes me function the way I do. Harley proposed to Millie in front of the Disney castle on holiday in Florida – but dropped the ring, prompting a desperate search for it on the ground.
Katie announced on social media: “Baby Carter mummy and daddy can’t wait to meet you.” She shares the baby-to-be with her boyfriend Connor Carter, who famously moved into the Radford home with Sue and Noel and stepped up to help around the house. Ellie, 19 Ellie Radford, born in 2005, recently turned 19 – and she’s following her dream of becoming a hairdresser. But in a tragic twist of fate, her 18th birthday party was ruined by hateful comments left by trolls on her outfit snaps.
Sue praised her daughter: “Just want to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Aimee. She’s just finished her last day at college and is now a fully qualified hairdresser. Couldn’t be any prouder of you Aimee you’ve done amazing.” Things escalated so much for Josh during his school days that he was regularly placed in “impact”, where he would have to learn in isolation.
Tillie, 14 14-year-old Tillie left her mum Sue in tears over her health issues this year. One of Tillie’s legs stopped growing when she was only 18 months old, and in 2019 she was fitted with a frame to help lengthen the limb. Oscar, 12 Born in 2011, not much is known about son Oscar outside of the show – but he does feature regularly on social media and says his favourite food is chocolate biscuits.
“But unfortunately he didn’t, he’s just not got through. It’s going to be upsetting, he had his heart set on it.”
