Four teams feature seven of the 15 top-paid players in the NBA this season.
The 2023-24 National Basketball Association regular season tips off on Tuesday night with some of the league's best— and highest-paid—players taking the floor.Nikola Jokić and the defending-champion Denver Nuggets host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers at 7:30 p.m. ET in a rematch of last season's Western Conference Finals. Then Kevin Durant returns to the Bay Area for a 10 p.m. ET showdown between the Phoenix Suns and the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors.
After an offseason filled with trade rumors, Lillard was finally dealt to the Bucks in September. The seven-time All-Star point guard will team up with Antetokounmpo, a two-time MVP, to try and take control of the Eastern Conference.Another new pairing this season will be Durant and Beal in Phoenix. Durant is entering his first full year with the Suns after being acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in February. The Suns were eliminated in the second round of the playoffs last season.
