The Saskatoon Blades made a successful transition from road to home Sunday.
The Blades — who returned to SaskTel Centre after two weeks of games away from their home rink — recorded a 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in a key Western Hockey League Eastern Conference match-up. “I was impressed with our passion-compete, considering everywhere we’ve been and everything we’ve done,” said Blades head coach Brennan Sonne, whose team spent the past two weeks playing games in Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary and Brandon.
“When you travel so much, it’s so typical that the first game back is a big let-down. We knew that. We addressed it. We talked about it. But that’s different than actually going out and doing it. The guys went out and did it.
