A white woman has apologised after she was filmed calling the police on a black man who asked her to follow Central Park rules and put her dog on a leash, in the latest incident of racial profiling to go viral on social media.Amy Cooper was spotted on Monday morning, between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m.

After the video went viral, Amy Cooper said she wanted to “publicly apologize to everyone”, telling CNN: “I'm not a racist. I did not mean to harm that man in any way” and did not want to harm the African American community, she said. Amy Cooper, who works for investment company Franklin Templeton, has since been placed on administrative leave. The company said in a statement: “We take these matters very seriously, and we do not condone racism of any kind. While we are in the process of investigating the situation, the employee involved has been put on administrative leave.”Christian Cooper told CNN that he filmed the incident because “I thought it was important to document things.
