In another attempt to project a return to normalcy, chairs reserved for journalists were pushed closer together because it looked better on camera.

“White House officials apparently wanted a tighter television shot” that would project an image of normalcy,, driving home the idea that, after three months of lockdown, things are now returning to how they were before the pandemic. The president and members of his administration did not practice social distancing or wear masks at the news conference on Friday, per Politico, despite the fact that both continue to be the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
