Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Screen Rant is excited to present an exclusive first look at Zawa + The Belly of The Beast from BOOM! Studios. The upcoming series is a fable featuring a young girl, told by an Eisner Award-nominated and GLAAD Award-winning comic creator. Coming this fall, the first issue will feature several whimsical variant cover options.

Additional variant covers will be available from Jorge Corona , Karl Kershcl , Skottie Young . The covers each feature the titular heroine of the story, Zawa, many of which have whimsical elements. The interiors show a glimpse of the story, as well as the setting: Mesa's Boon.

The preview above implies that the narrator - and society in the fable - believe they've been taking good care of Zawa. However, a dark truth will come out about the actual effects their actions have been having on the guardian spirit. Despite the greed that lies ahead, Zawa could still find a happy future thanks to the new friends she will make. Nonetheless, paving a better future together could prove difficult in this fantasy world.
