He’s collected hundreds of signatures all over the southeast from Haitians pleading for more time to pursue other legal status. All are being sent to people like DHS Secretary Christie Noem and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.He says many Haitians would rather risk staying in the States.He wants the administration to put themselves in the shoes of thousands of Haitians scared to return home. “Do these people really think about other people, or do they think about themselves? Have a heart, a human heart to understand their situation,” Izean said. Immigrants here under the CHNV program are now at risk of deportation while legal proceedings are stayed.Copyright 2025 WAFF.
