Ohio State football's top three running backs were unavailable by the end of last Saturday's win over Purdue.
However, the Buckeyes’ backfield situation carries a vibe of uncertainty heading into Saturday’s top-10 matchup with Penn State. It is possible that will continue until pregame warmups prior to the noon kickoff at Ohio Stadium.
Prior to each of the past two games, Henderson went through the initial stretching on the field. However, he never put on pads to even attempt the full team warmups. He did travel to Purdue, unlike receiver Emeka Egbuka, which could have indicated a lack of severity for the still-unspecified injury. Williams was also ruled out prior to the Purdue game. Last season’s leading rusher has operated as the Buckeyes’ No. 3 back.
