The 2024 NFL draft is especially unique in Seattle.
FILE - Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. celebrates throwing a touchdown to wide receiver Rome Odunze against Washington State during the first half of an NCAA college football game, Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, in Seattle. Sure, it's always interesting to see the next stars of the Seahawks, especially the last couple of years with the extra picks from the Russell Wilson trade.
Now, there were stars all over the place for the Dawgs, and several players including offensive lineman Troy Fautanu will be selected in the first round and beyond — perhaps by the Seahawks — but so much attention rests on the stars who won national awards:Penix is arguably the most intriguing quarterback with a most uncertain fate in the NFL draft.
"He can make all the throws, a great leader. If he came out a year or two earlier, I think the health would be a really big issue. I think that he got through two years with you guys in Washington makes his draft candidacy that much more compelling." "You know, DK to me is obviously big and straight-line fast," Tannenbaum added. "I think this guy is a little bit more better change-of-direction and a little bit of a wiggle like Terrell Owens, was really hard to tackle because he was so big and so fast and strong, and I think Rome's game to me is very similar to that."
