The 2021 Pro 8 packs a majority of the same features as the Pro 9. It's still an excellent choice if you don't need the latest processor or 5G connectivity. There's a high chance it will go on sale this holiday season.The 2019 Pro 7 is a solid 2-in-1 choice. It's less powerful, but it does have better life than the Pro 8 and will likely also be on sale this holiday season. If you can score a good deal , this one is worth considering.
Ports are another mixed bag for Surface devices. You'll find USB-C ports throughout the Surface line, and the newest versions support Thunderbolt 4. Despite the USB-C ports, Microsoft stuck with its magnetic Surface Connect charger. This may not be a bad thing, but it feels strange with the Thunderbolt support there as well.We briefly mention a few Surface accessories above. But as we said before, you’ll have to purchase these separately —on top of shelling out money for the device itself.
