New 'Cap may have taken a beating in test screenings but still has a chance to smash it up at the box office this February. But which is the best format to see it in?
It seems like it’s been a while but here we are again – another Marvel movie. The film blogs have been having a field day with the reports thathas had to go through extensive reshoots along with adding in additional scenes due to low test audience results. However, rather than predicting doom and gloom, if it results in a better movie, then I’m not sure why it’s a bad thing?of February when the movie, starring Anthony Mackie at 'Cap, and Harrison Ford, as Red Hulk, is released in theaters.
Note this is not what some consider true IMAX, which is a film shot on IMAX 70mm film cameras and also presented on IMAX 70mm film. As such, when shown in an IMAX theatre with a 1.43:1 screen, such as the BFI IMAX in London, there will be large black bars top and bottom. However, with so few of these around the world, it’s not going to be a widespread issue. I also would not let it put you off if you were thinking of booking in one of those screens and having seenin the incredibly wide 2.
