The game, which debuted in China in late 2024, lets players start as a village wanderer and evolve into an imperial sword master in an ancient Chinese setting. The popular free-to-play open-world action RPG Where Winds Meet has expanded its availability to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. Originally launching in China for PC in December 2024 and for mobile in January 2025, the game saw a Western release on PC and PlayStation 5 in November 2025, followed by a Western mobile launch in December 2025.

Set in ancient China, the game follows a journey from a humble village wanderer to a sword master of the imperial capital, offering a main story that can be completed in approximately 30 hours. However, engaging with side content extends playtime to around 90 hours, and achieving 100% completion demands about 150 hours. While the game is free to download and play, it includes monetization elements typical of free-to-play models, encouraging players to spend money for convenience or progression.
