Penn State football was ranked inside the top 10 of the preseason Coaches Poll.

Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas and Alabama made up the top five. Ole Miss and Notre Dame were ranked Nos. 6 and 7, respectively. Behind Penn State at No. 10 was Florida State. The Associated Press’ preseason poll, which surveys media members across the country, is slated to be released on Aug. 12.
