Peaches Hall has created a community out of the thousands who use the Doris Griffin One Stop Senior Center.
Three times a week, Peaches Hall leads her “ Get Moving ” fitness class at the Doris Griffin One Stop Senior Center on the hill above Ingram Park Mall . Participants, many born not long after World War II, groove to high-energy tunes beneath a half-dozen ceiling fans, their moves reflected in floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

She has been leading it since it opened. Hall brought along a valued coworker, Casara Villarreal, as front desk receptionist. She said members look after Villarreal like she was their granddaughter. For Hall, providing a space that supports members’ independence is an honor.
