“Ideally, I would I like to walk away with a check in my hand,” Carrie Stowell said. “But reality is, if I can get answers and a more definitive date then, “Oh, you should have gotten it by August 6.’”Stowell told KPRC 2 she applied for the $750 in emergency assistance shortly after Hurricane Beryl. FEMA approved the request on July 23.

So, they told me this facility is actually closing tomorrow so they have already sent off all of the Texas reps to all the other FEMA centers.” said Stowell.
Stowell said the DRC was able to confirm that her file was sent to the state, but said she was told that once it’s sent off, FEMA officials don’t have access to locate the status of funding.Bill Barajas
