Pro Football Focus is unveiling its position rankings, and here's where the Browns rank for running backs.
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Pro Football Focus has released its rankings of the NFL’s running back unit groups ahead of the 2025 season, and theCould Shedeur Sanders be the Browns’ Brock Purdy?Cleveland didn’t re-sign Kareem Hunt and brought in Nyheim Hines, who’d never play a game for Cleveland.
Nick Chubb returned from injury only to exit after eight games due to a broken foot, and D’Onta Foreman was limited to 11 games. Going into 2025, Jerome Ford will look to retain the RB1 spot, while knowing he’s got two rookies behind him in Quinshon Judkins out of Ohio State, and Dylan Sampson out of Tennessee. Judkins may be facing an NFL suspension to start the season after being charged with misdemeanor domestic battery against his girlfriend in Fort Lauderdale earlier this month.“The Browns overhauled their backfield in this year’s draft by selecting Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins and Tennessee’s Dylan Sampson. Judkins earned an elite 95.2 PFF rushing grade during his three college seasons while breaking 197 tackles. Sampson was outstanding as the Volunteers’ starter last season, posting a 90.9 PFF rushing grade. Those two will be competing with veteran Jerome Ford for playing time. Ford earned a solid 80.3 PFF rushing grade last season, though it was spread across just 104 carries.”If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.and agree that your clicks, interactions, and personal information may be collected, recorded, and/or stored by us and social media and other third-party partners in accordance with our
