Excellent question on a topic that I’m considering making a weekly staple. Penn State’s College Football Playoff odds were improved after the win at West Virginia. Some doubters who watched Drew Allar and the Nittany Lions dismantle WVU were convinced they are legitimate CFP contenders; the eye test was impressive. And it’s reflected in the numbers, too.. The Nittany Lions had a 60% chance of reaching the CFP in the preseason.
Penn State-Notre Dame would be one of the most talked about games of the year, pitting two proud fan bases with a heavy presence in Pennsylvania. The winner would get Ohio State at the Rose Bowl in the CFP quarterfinals.
