Remains of Guatemalan Migrants Who Drowned in Rio Grande Returned After 29 YearsThe remains of two Guatemalan migrants who died trying to cross the Rio Grande into the United States 29 years ago have been returned to Guatemala. Francisco Evelio Villatoro Velásquez and Osman Roberto Sáenz Montejo, both 21 years old when they drowned, were farmers from Huehuetenango. Their families, unable to travel to the capital due to financial constraints, had their remains transported to their respective communities.
