The building will serve as the new city hall and house city management, the city secretary's office, fire administration, human resources, legal and information technology.
The old city hall will accommodate the offices for community development, engineering and communications. The council chambers in Downtown Forney will continue hosting city council meetings, planning and zoning commission meetings and other related gatherings. Forney Public Works Department, at 402 N Bois D Arc St., will be the new location for the utility billing, finance and public works offices.
