On Sunday, Boris Johnson introduced the second phase of the lockdown, outlining the government’s plans to gradually ease restrictions in months to come. As part of this, he announced that primary schools will open “at the earliest” on June 1, starting with Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils.
