ICYMI: A health official said it’s not yet time to say that total virus cases in the country have peaked. COVID19
MANILA—The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections has been lower than in previous weeks, but a health official on Saturday said it’s not yet time to say that total virus cases in the country have peaked.
“Mahirap sabihin . .
Earlier in the day, the Department of Health logged 102 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the country’s tally to 7,294. Of the total, 494 died and 792 others recovered. The Philippines had its biggest daily rise of COVID-19 infections on March 31 when it logged 538 cases. Since then, new cases reported daily in the country have dropped.
