Thunderstorms and cooler temperatures are expected
“It’s looking likely that we will see the seventh day of temperatures running at 30°C or higher, which is unprecedented,” he said. “We have never seen anything as long-lived in terms of a heatwave in September before.
“We have a thunderstorm warning overnight for southern Scotland. That expires at 6am. And then once that’s cleared, there will be a few thunderstorms tomorrow. But for the vast majority they will be a bit more scattered in nature than today.”Today we can expect cloudy weather with outbreaks of rain or drizzle in the far north. Elsewhere, patchy cloudy and sunny spells for many with thunderstorms developing and moving northeastwards.
