ALDI prepares to open two Dothan locations in 2026.
ALDI is preparing to expand its presence in the Wiregrass with two new grocery store s set to open in Dothan in early 2026. Heather Moore, Loxley Division vice president for ALDI, said both stores are making progress and will soon bring new jobs and fresh shopping options to the community.
“We are excited to be a part of the Dothan community and look forward to offering a wide selection of our customers’ favorite items, from ALDI staples to regional favorites in stores,” Moore said. The company plans to hire 15 to 20 full- and part-time associates for each store. All Winn-Dixie employees were offered interviews for the new stores or transfers to nearby locations. People are also reading… The new locations, which will replace former Winn-Dixie stores, will feature ALDI’s signature shopping model. “At ALDI, we do things a bit differently to save our customers money and offer the lowest prices of any national grocery store,” Moore said. “Customers can expect a quick, easy shopping experience with great products at the lowest possible prices.”ALDI's commitmentBeyond groceries, Moore said ALDI is committed to supporting the communities it serves. As part of that commitment, ALDI works with Feeding America to fight food insecurity and invests in programs focused on children’s health, disaster relief and education.
