A man in a wheelchair and two accomplices attempted to steal merchandise from a Walgreens in Palm City, Florida. The suspects were apprehended by deputies shortly after the incident.

A Broward County man in a wheelchair is accused of attempting a daring heist at a Palm City Walgreens with two other accomplices. The Martin County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) said 39-year-old Blake Kahn packed hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise into a bag and used a wheelchair to roll out of the store without paying.

Kahn, who the sheriff's office said has a history of theft and drug charges in Broward County, abandoned the wheelchair before jumping into a getaway car with his two accomplices: 38-year-old Andrew Turkus, the driver, and 38-year-old Christine Thomson, the passenger. Both also have criminal records from Broward County. Deputies stopped the car shortly after the theft and discovered boxes of expensive stolen merchandise inside like: blood pressure monitors, Rogaine, eye drops, probiotics, etc. Kahn allegedly told deputies they should have driven past Martin County, claiming they would have had more luck with the thefts in Broward County and could have just received a trespass warning there
