Justin Barend Justice, 28, is currently in the Travis County Jail on six total charges after allegedly killing Teressa Ferguson in September.
Court records revealed two cellphones were seized from Justin Justice, with one phone allegedly having a screenshot of a news article on Ferguson's death.
Surveillance footage from the Super 8 motel nearby captured the crime scene and saw a heavily tinted Infiniti allegedly driven by, who was wearing a white tank top driving. The video also showed damage to the right wheel and fender area of the vehicle. Several days later on Oct. 4, the affidavit says an officer with the Austin Police Department's Violent Crimes Task Force spotted the Infiniti while collecting surveillance footage on an unrelated case. APD says they later discovered a gun in the car's glove box and a screenshot of a KVUE news article reporting on Ferguson's death on one of Justice's cellphones.
