Troopers share the names of the victims lost in commuter plane crash over Norton SoundANCHORAGE, Alaska - As of Saturday, the bodies of the victims who were on board ahave been recovered, according to Alaska State Troopers.

The bodies were brought to Nome for positive identification, troopers said, which added that next-of-kin have been notified. The wreckage from the crash has been moved to a secured Nome airport hangar as the National Transportation Safety Board investigation begins to determine what caused the fatal crash, officials said Monday.The plane was lost to radar around 3:16 p.m. Thursday, less than an hour after taking off from Unalakleet.

The Coast Guard said radar data showed that around that same time, the plane experienced “some kind of event that caused rapid loss in elevation and speed.
