The greatest adventure series of all time returns.

We’ve had a boatload of big-name franchises return to the big screen so far this summer, but rarely does a new movie come along that’s as anticipated as the one we’re getting this weekend. Fifteen years after his last adventure, Indiana Jones is back as filmdom's most famous archeologist in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

COLLIDER VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT On the TV side of things, Henry Cavill’s final go as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher is finally being released, with season three's first volume premiering on Netflix. If you’re looking for a more grounded action series, season four of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan season four will be hitting Amazon Prime on the 30th.

Collider’s Therese Lacson says that Dial of Destiny "captures the spirit of the first three films, because, whether you like it or not, those movies were meant to be enjoyable action-adventures. There's nothing thematically deep or complex about Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones is not Citizen Kane, and it doesn't want or need to be.

It’s sounding like the film has loads of both big and small moments for audiences to enjoy. Collider’s Marco Vito Oddo raved about the film, saying “Watching these big set pieces is a joy, but even in the movie’s quieter moments, something interesting is always happening in the background. In short, the world of Nimona is bursting with life, thanks to the dedication of the animation team.
