The final day of the MLS regular season features some games with a lot on the line, and some with less at stake
After a long slog from late February to mid-October, the regular season has arrived at the finish line of the regular season: Decision Day, when all games in each conference kick off simultaneously and final regular season honors are often determined. This time around the biggest honors are already set. The Supporters’ Shield has long been clinched by , and LAFC’s has taken a chokehold on the Golden Boot, now with a three-goal lead over Cincy’s .
has wrapped up home field in round one, but a win would seal second place in the Western Conference. Vancouver’s standing is hard to pin down, as the team is currently sitting in sixth but only one point behind fourth and three behind third. A win, of course, would do them a lot of good in the standings, but perhaps even more for playoff credentials to beat the reigning champs. This should be a fun one and could end up as a playoff preview. Tier 3: If only these games had more stakes vs.
