Here’s what to know about the 39th Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival, which will take place April 16-19 in downtown Fort Worth.The streets of downtown Fort Worth will be transformed into a vibrant, open-air gallery as the 39th Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival returns with bold artwork, live entertainment and plenty of food and fun to fill the streets.
Over the course of four days, attendees will get to walk along 18 blocks of eye-catching works by artists from across the country in a variety of media including ceramics, digital art, drawings, fiber, glass, jewelry, leather, metalwork, mixed media, paintings, photography, printmaking, sculptures and wood. Some of the artists that will be at the festival this year include the best emerging artist winner, Joey Brock and best in show fiber artist, YanFang Inlow, among others. Attendees can also enjoy live performances on the three stages. Entertainers will include Ghosts of Hill Country, Austin-based rock artist Ian Moore, Tejano group Avizo and more cover bands.There will also be hands-on creative activities for people of all ages, including printmaking, henna and glitter tattoos, foam crafts, sand art, caricatures, and more. Some other things to know before going to the festival are that the festival only accepts credit cards. Leave your cooler at home and use the free water stations instead. Attendees can bring folding chairs, but must sit away from walkways. The festival does not recommend bringing pets.: April 16 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; April 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m; and April 19 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Main Street, Fort Worth. Free.Alyson Rodriguez, a recent graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso, has been appointed as the new Events Producer.
