Around 5 million students sit the exams every year - and will soon find out how they did
With A level results behind us, it’s now the turn of the approximately 5 million teenagers across the country, who will soon be finding out how they did in their GCSEs.
The wait is almost over, as GCSE students will find out their results on Thursday August 22. Unless your school has said otherwise or allowed in special circumstances, your results can’t be viewed online; you have to go in person to collect them from your school, which are usually open from 8am onwards.
In England, young people are now required to either stay in full-time education, start an apprenticeship or spend at least 20 hours a week working or volunteering while in part-time education or training, until they turn 18.
