How Knight could fit into Auburn's quarterback room next season
Peter Rauterkus | [email protected], Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers are set to add another talented arm to their quarterback room — that’s assuming Knight’s commitment to Auburn sticks.
“It has nothing to do with my confidence in Hank,” Freeze said the following Monday of his decision to bench Brown against Arkansas. “But in that moment, our team needed something else to try to give us a shot.” Despite Freeze raving about Geriner being the most natural passer in Auburn’s quarterback room, Geriner went on to struggle during his relief appearances last fall, going 5-for-15 for 75 yards and an interception.
A participant in Elite 11, the nation’s premier quarterback competition, Knight was named On3′s Elite 11 MVP after “turning in a consistent three days of performances with the most legitimate ‘wow’ moments of any Elite 11 finalist,” wrote On3 director of scouting and rankings Charles Power
