New this year, the Padres have opened its own cocktail lounge at the spot formerly housing City Tacos adjacent to the Gaslamp Gate at K Street and Seventh Avenue. The 1970s -inspired Diamond Room opened in January and will offer an intimate and upscale experience with turntables a disco ball and moody vibes to 50 guests at a time. Elevated cocktails and small bites will be offered. A partnership between the Padres hospitality group, the Diamond Room will offer cocktail classes and other events and is available for private parties.With Opening Day at Petco Park this week, there are some big questions ahead of the big game, including: Who should bat lead-off?
