After a one-week theatrical release, director Rian Johnson’s anticipated sequel to the 2019 film “Knives Out” will be available for global streaming on Netflix as of Dec. 23. “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” sees the on-screen reprisal of James Bond actor Daniel Craig in the role of detective Benoit Blanc. The investigator sleuths around Greece to solve another murder mystery and encounters new faces along the way, such as Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Kate Hudson and more.

New installments of acclaimed series are also hitting Netflix in December, such as Season 2 of “Last Chance U: Basketball,” which premieres Dec. 13 in the U.S. The second season of the Emmy-nominated series returns to East Los Angeles College a year after the pandemic with a new roster of athletes. Greg Whiteley, Daniel George McDonald and Adam Leibowitz directed both the first and second seasons.
