What makes a good achievement list? Xbox indie boss shares his thoughts

Xbox indie boss Chris Charla has shared his thoughts on achievement design.

Over on Twitter, the ID@Xbox boss discussed how he believes an achievement list should be designed, saying that a good achievement list will reward players for doing well while also including achievements that are off the critical path to get players to explore a game. Charla then goes on to name Vampire Survivors — one of the

"Best practice is to give one or two achievements super, super early , and then a typical 'critical path' playthrough from start to end should give a player 40 - 60% of the achievements and Gamerscore.
