Jurgen Klopp reveals exchange with Roberto De Zerbi as Brighton boss shares how he learned of Alexis Mac Allister Liverpool transfer
Jurgen Klopp has revealed what he said to Roberto De Zerbi when embracing the Italian after Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
And having signed Alexis Mac Allister from the Seagulls last summer, while also missing out on Moises Caicedo, the Liverpool boss is in awe of what De Zerbi has continued to achieve at the South Coast club. Meanwhile, having seen Mac Allister set up Salah’s winning goal in a man of the match performance against his former club, De Zerbi was full of praise for his former player as he shared his delight at seeing the Argentine shine at Anfield.
Mac Allister saluted the travelling Brighton fans after the final whistle at Anfield, having been in tears when approaching them 10 months earlier after what would prove to be his final game for the Seagulls away at Aston Villa.
