The Post’s Paul Schwartz and Brian Costello look at what the Giants and Jets may do with their NFL draft selections when it comes to edge rushers:

The 2023 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 27 in Kansas City.

The Jets will head to town with six picks, including No. 13 overall, while the Giants have 10, beginning with No. 25.:The Giants targeted this position last year and came away with Kayvon Thibodeaux with the No. 5 overall pick. The numbers were not all-world, but Thibodeaux showed he is a high-motor, sideline-to-sideline defender and a keeper. There is not much on the bench.Tennessee edge rusher Byron Young potentially could be a fit for the Giants.Andre Carter

is 6-foot-6 ¹/₂ and an intriguing prospect and Byron Young has legit pass rush potential. B.J. Ojulari of LSU — yes, the younger brother of Azeez — is a Day 2 selection, probably not a great spot for the Giants to arrange for a family reunion. This is not a priority position for the Jets, but Robert Saleh can never have enough pass rushers, so you can’t discount the Jets taking one in the draft next week.

Carl Lawson is going to stick around for this year but could be gone in 2024. They just took Jermaine Johnson in last year’s draft and he should have a much bigger role this year.— Brian Costello
