What are the Blazers getting in their new head coach?
Dilfer played quarterback at Fresno State and started the final two and half seasons of his career for the Bulldogs. He was the WAC Offensive Player of the Year in 1993, named an All-American and set a then-record of 271 pass attempts without an interception.Drafted sixth overall by Tampa Bay in 1994, Dilfer played for the Buccaneers for five seasons before signing with the Baltimore Ravens before the 2000 season.
In 2019, Dilfer accepted the head coach position at Lipscomb Academy in Nashville, Tennessee and led the Mustangs to the playoff semifinals in his first season. Lipscomb advanced to the title game the next season, losing by a single touchdown, and made a second straight appearance in winning the 2021 Division II Class AA state title.
