A few hours later, after a torrential downpour in Williamsport, the scene switched to Bowman Field and a nationally televised ESPN “Sunday Night Baseball” game. That only added to the experience for the Little Leaguers, who arrived in charter buses and entered the stadium high-fiving cheering fans who were lined outside the gates.

At one point, Mountcastle threw a ball into the group of Chinese Taipei players behind the home dugout and one almost snagged it with his ball cap. A couple of his teammates immediately hugged him. Orioles catchertook selfies at the dugout railing pregame and carried his phone out with him during team introductions to capture it all.
