While Hot Frosty is mostly a lighthearted, holiday film, its story contains a bit of tragedy concerning Kathy's previous husband. Kathy, played by Lacey Chabert, is one of the two main characters in the 2024 Netflix Christmas fantasy romantic comedy. She lives in the small town of Hope Springs, where she owns a diner. One night, after one of Kathy's friends gifts her a red scarf , she wraps it around a snowman, who then comes to life and completely changes Kathy's world.
