The Ducks maintained their No. 1 spot after finishing the regular season as the only FBS team with an undefeated record. The Big Ten title game will be the second top-five matchup of the season for the Nittany Lions. Penn State lost to then-No. 4 Ohio State last month.Penn State reached the Big Ten championship game in the first place thanks to Ohio State’s stunning loss to Michigan. The Buckeyes dropped from four spots to No. 6.
Alabama was ranked No. 11, giving the 9-3 Crimson Tide a good shot to get into the field. Miami, after dropping to 10-2 with an upset loss at Syracuse, came in at No. 12.
